SENSISpec Milk ELISA kit represents a highly sensitive detection system for milk proteins, developed based on NIST 1549 reference material. The test is capable of quantifying casein and β-Lactoglobulin residues in food samples and has been validated for bread, crackers, sausages, orange juice, wine, soy products, and chocolate. The test has been validated on The Bolt™ automated ELISA system.

Bovine milk is one of the most important allergenic food components, especially for children. Even very low amounts of bovine milk can trigger allergic reactions and in severe cases may lead to anaphylactic shock. Therefore, individuals with milk allergy must strictly avoid consumption of milk or milk-containing foods. Hidden milk proteins, particularly in sausages, bread, ready-to-eat foods, or beverages, represent a critical problem for milk-allergic individuals.

According to EU Directive 2003/89/EG, if bovine milk is added, this must be clearly labeled on the product. This sandwich ELISA kit enables reliable detection and quantification of milk allergen residues in processed foods, ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance.
