ChemoMetec Solution 7 (JC-1) 1ml – Mitochondrial Membrane Potential Reagent

ChemoMetec Solution 7 is a fluorescent reagent containing JC-1 dye, specifically formulated for use with the NC-3000 cell imaging analysis platform for Mitochondrial Membrane Potential Testing. It provides a practical solution for laboratory workflows focused on cell biology and apoptosis research.

JC-1 dye penetrates mitochondria in healthy (non-apoptotic) cells, causing a characteristic fluorescence shift from green (~529 nm) to red (~590 nm). When JC-1 accumulation in mitochondria decreases, cells emit green fluorescence, indicating progression into apoptosis. This mechanism enables rapid and visual assessment of mitochondrial health status across cell populations.

Solution 7 must be used in combination with Solution 8 for optimal assay performance. The 1 ml volume is suitable for small to medium-scale experimental series. Engineered for full compatibility with ChemoMetec's NC-3000 image-based cell analysis system.
