PEN-Dates Moisture Refractometer – Date Moisture Analysis (Atago)

PEN-Dates Moisture Refractometer is an immersion-type handheld refractometer developed by Atago for date producers and quality control teams. It provides measurements across a wide moisture range of 15.0-100.0% with ±0.2% accuracy, allowing evaluation of fresh, semi-dried, and fully dried date varieties with a single instrument.

The 2-second measurement time enables rapid sample inspection on production lines or in storage facilities. Real-time moisture monitoring during the drying process helps prevent over-drying or under-drying, thereby reducing mold risk.

The device lacks IP65 protection rating and temperature compensation; therefore, extra care is recommended for measurements in warm environments and humid/dusty production conditions. While retaining the practical advantages of PEN-series immersion-type refractometers, this model is specifically calibrated for date moisture analysis.
