The QR-NaOH Suction-Type Refractometer is a specialized digital refractometer developed to measure sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) concentration without direct sample contact. For operators working with NaOH, a corrosive and hazardous chemical, the suction system eliminates the risk of splashing or droplet contact.

The instrument draws the sample from a safe distance through an extended nozzle and performs measurement with just 2 mL sample volume. It includes a stainless steel tube and silicone tubing; tap water is sufficient for cleaning, enhancing both safety and ease of operation. The 0-38% NaOH measurement range covers the vast majority of typical caustic soda applications in paper, textile, food processing, and chemical industries.
