ChemoMetec Solution 2 – Propidium Iodide Staining Solution (910-3002)

ChemoMetec Solution 2 is a Propidium Iodide (PI)-based staining reagent. PI binds to the DNA and RNA of cells with compromised/damaged membrane integrity (dead cells), producing a fluorescent signal, while it cannot penetrate intact viable cells. This characteristic provides reliable results for live/dead cell discrimination and cell cycle analysis.

This solution is specifically designed for the "Fixed Cell Cycle – PI Test" protocol on ChemoMetec NC-250 and NC-3000 instruments. It is used in cell culture, bioprocess, and quality control laboratories for monitoring dead cell percentage and determining cell cycle phases (G0/G1, S, G2/M).
