Chemetrics K-6003 is a pre-filled ampule/tube-based test kit used to determine iron concentration in drinking water, process water, and wastewater analyses. It operates using the colorimetric phenanthroline method and can measure both total iron and ferrous (Fe2+) iron separately. In accordance with Chemetrics product principles, when used with a compatible photometer or colorimeter, it delivers more consistent and reproducible results compared to visual comparison.

The kit operates with pre-filled reactant ampules, eliminating sample preparation steps and errors from reactant weighing/measuring. It is preferred in field conditions requiring rapid measurement, such as water treatment facilities, boiler water monitoring, and groundwater or well water control applications. The instrument is compatible with photometers performing visible range measurements in the 320-1100 nm wavelength range.
