Atago PAL-04S Specific Gravity Salinity Refractometer

The PAL-04S is a digital handheld refractometer developed by Atago for measuring the specific gravity (S.G.) of salt solutions. It serves as a direct alternative to glass hydrometers, utilizing the same specific gravity (S.G.) scale while eliminating typical glass hydrometer drawbacks such as breakage, large sample requirements, and reading errors.

The device performs measurements across the 1.000-1.217 range with ±0.002 accuracy and 0.001 resolution. Requiring only 2-3 sample drops, results are obtained in approximately 3 seconds. Its IP65 water-resistant housing and automatic temperature compensation ensure reliable field performance. Powered by 2 AAA batteries, the compact and lightweight design (approximately 100g, 5.5×3.1×10.9 cm) enables single-handed operation and easy portability.
