Cesium Chloride Refractometer PAL-42S (Atago) – CsCl Density Gradient Measurement

The PAL-42S is a digital handheld refractometer developed by Atago for rapid and low-volume measurement of cesium chloride (CsCl) solution concentration. It is applicable for verification of CsCl solution preparation in DNA/RNA isolation and density gradient centrifugation procedures.

The instrument provides ±0.4% accuracy within the 0.0-60.0% CsCl measurement range while requiring only 2-3 sample drops, ensuring conservation of valuable specimens. With IP65 protection class, it demonstrates resistance to chemical exposure. The device lacks automatic temperature compensation, therefore measurement results should be evaluated with consideration to ambient temperature.
