ClearBand 6x DNA Loading Dye is a ready-to-use, 6x concentrated buffer formulated for loading DNA samples and markers into wells of agarose or non-denaturing polyacrylamide gels. This product meets routine electrophoresis needs in every molecular biology laboratory, simplifying the sample loading process and enabling visual tracking of DNA migration within the gel.

The two tracking dyes present in this formulation migrate at different rates: Xylene Cyanol FF travels approximately at the level of a 400 bp DNA fragment in agarose gels, while Bromophenol Blue migrates at approximately 400 bp in agarose gels. This dual-dye system ensures timely termination of electrophoresis before samples run out of the gel and are lost.

With the 6x formulation, samples can be easily mixed in simple ratios (e.g., 5 units sample + 1 unit dye) without requiring separate preparation steps. The dye is suitable for standard agarose gel electrophoresis and non-denaturing PAGE applications.
