The PAL-HIKARi 10 is an infrared (IR) principle pocket Brix meter from Atago's HIKARi series, specifically calibrated for peaches. Unlike classical refractometers, this device eliminates the need for juice extraction—simply place it on the fruit surface to measure sugar (Brix) content. This feature is particularly valuable for premium peach and nectarine varieties, preventing sample loss while enabling fast and hygienic measurements.

The meter operates in the 8.0–20.0% Brix range with ±1.5% accuracy and 0.1% resolution, offering temperature compensation from 5.0–35.0°C.
