Climate chambers are designed to simulate real climatic conditions by controlling temperature, humidity, and day-night light cycles. The KKS series steam-humidified climate chambers are utilized for plant cultivation, seed germination, cell and tissue culture production, genetic research on plants, cell and protoplasm cultivation, insect incubation and rearing, and various research applications requiring stable environmental conditions. Unlike ultrasonic models, KKS chambers do not emit ultrasound, making them suitable for insect breeding (e.g., Drosophila melanogaster). They feature a wider temperature and humidity range and are ideal for testing electronics, plastics, and building materials. The steam humidification system operates using closed boilers that generate steam at pressures exceeding atmospheric pressure, using deionized water heated within the boiler.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between KK (ultrasonic) and KKS (steam) climate chambers?
KK chambers use ultrasonic humidification, making them ideal for plant and seed applications. KKS chambers use steam humidification and do not emit ultrasound, making them suitable for insect breeding. KKS models offer wider temperature (up to 100°C) and humidity ranges, and are better suited for electronics, plastics, and building materials testing.
What water quality is required for the KKS400?
The KKS400 requires tap water with conductivity between 125-1250 µS/cm. The chamber includes a water supply system for operation.
What is the maximum temperature achievable in KKS400?
The KKS400 can reach a maximum temperature of +100°C, significantly higher than the KK series, making it suitable for thermal stability testing.
Is the KKS400 suitable for insect breeding?
Yes, the KKS400's steam humidification system does not emit ultrasound, making it ideal for breeding insects such as Drosophila melanogaster.
What power supply options are available for KKS400?
The KKS400 can operate on either 230V 50-60Hz or 400V 50-60Hz, providing flexibility for different laboratory installations.
