Behr Labor Technik InKjel 1225M Infrared Rapid Wet Digestion Unit

The Behr Labor Technik InKjel 1225M is an infrared rapid wet digestion unit designed for laboratories performing nitrogen/protein determination via the Kjeldahl method. Its capability to process 12 glass vessels of 250 ml volume simultaneously enhances productivity in food, feed, and agricultural laboratories requiring high sample throughput.

The unit's infrared heater provides direct and homogeneous heating of samples compared to conventional aluminum heating blocks, ensuring consistent digestion temperature across all sample positions. Glass digestion vessels are suspended on the rack, eliminating bottom accumulation and reducing breakage risk while simplifying maintenance.

Power output is manually adjustable from 0 to 100%; at standard digestion temperatures (380 °C or 450 °C), the process completes in approximately 55 minutes. This delivers significant energy savings and time advantages over conventional heating block systems.

The Behrotest InKjel series offers various capacity and vessel volume configurations. The 1225M model serves laboratories preferring the 12-vessel configuration for high-volume protein/nitrogen analyses.
