Atago RX-5000α-Plus Automatic Digital Refractometer

The RX-5000α-Plus is Atago's Alpha series automatic digital refractometer, measuring refractive index in the range 1.32700-1.58000 nD and Brix concentration from 0.000-100.000%. The integrated thermostat eliminates the need for an external water bath, providing temperature control between 5.00-60.00°C, which is essential for repeatable and temperature-sensitive measurements.

The instrument is designed for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical laboratories requiring high-precision analysis, with refractive index accuracy of ±0.00002 nD and Brix accuracy of ±0.010%. A resolution of 0.00001 nD enables detection of minor concentration variations.

Data transfer is supported via printer and computer interface (RS-232C). The compact housing (37×26×14cm, 6.4kg) requires minimal laboratory bench space. The unit lacks IP65 protection and additional temperature compensation modules; therefore, a controlled measurement environment is recommended.
