The PR-Plato Digital Refractometer is ATAGO's specialized instrument developed for breweries to measure sweet wort specific gravity in Plato degrees (°P). It provides a practical solution for breweries and craft operations seeking to monitor wort gravity prior to fermentation pitching.

The device measures across a range of 0.0-30.0°P with 0.1°P resolution and ±0.1°P accuracy; results are obtained in 3 seconds using only a few sample drops. Its compact and lightweight design (17×9×4 cm, 270 g) enables easy portability across production lines. Operating on a single 006P type 9V dry cell battery provides field independence during use.

Optimized for samples frequently tested in brewing processes including sweet wort, beer must, and malt extract. Its straightforward operation (apply droplet, press START) enables rapid quality control without requiring specialized technical knowledge.
