Atago PR-BUTYRO Digital Refractometer – Butter Oil Analysis Instrument with Butyro/RI Dual Scale

The PR-BUTYRO is a digital refractometer specially developed by Atago for the butter and edible oil industry. It features two measurement scales simultaneously—Butyro value and Refractive Index (RI)—enabling single-instrument purity assessment of butter, ghee, and plant oil blends.

The instrument performs automatic conversion to 40°C reference temperature, ensuring measurement consistency, and delivers reliable results across different ambient conditions through temperature compensation from 10-50°C. The Butyro range is 30.0-90.0, RI range is 1.4450-1.4850, with accuracies of ±0.5 (Butyro) and ±0.0003 (RI). The distinctive turquoise housing design allows easy identification from other refractometers in oil industry applications.

Preferred in food safety laboratories, butter production facilities, and oil quality control units for adulteration detection.
