Atago PAL-62S Potassium Carbonate Refractometer

The PAL-62S is an Atago-manufactured handheld digital refractometer that rapidly measures potassium carbonate concentration in the range of 0.0-25.0%. It is designed for glass manufacturing, soap production, and chemical process control applications where operators require instant results instead of time-consuming titration methods.

The instrument delivers results in 3 seconds using only 2-3 drops of sample, enabling on-line rapid verification. It provides consistent measurement with ±0.2% accuracy and 0.1 Brix resolution to support production decision-making. The IP65 waterproof metal housing ensures reliable operation in humid and dusty industrial environments. With a mass of 100 grams and compact dimensions (5.5×3.1×10.9 cm), it is well-suited for field deployment and operates independently on 2×AAA batteries.

It should be noted that while the instrument can measure temperature within the range 10.0-40.0°C with ±1°C accuracy, it lacks automatic temperature compensation; measurement results may therefore be affected by sample temperature variation. The metal housing provides durability.
