ATAGO DR-M2 Multi-Wavelength Abbe Refractometer

The DR-M2 is a multi-wavelength Abbe refractometer operating across 450-1100 nm, digitally measuring refractive index along with Abbe numbers νd and νe. Engineered for optical glass manufacturers, lens designers, and optical materials development laboratories. Unlike standard Abbe refractometers limited to single wavelengths, the DR-M2 provides direct measurement across multiple wavelengths, yielding material dispersion characteristics (Abbe number) directly from the instrument without requiring manual calculations. Results display clearly on the digital LCD screen with crosshair alignment for precise boundary line reading. Measurement records can be printed via optional DP-AD(B) printer unit. The instrument does not feature IP65 protection rating or automatic temperature compensation; therefore, environmental temperature control and device protection require careful attention. While requiring higher capital investment than standard Abbe refractometers (€16,500), multi-wavelength measurement and integrated Abbe number calculation capabilities save time in optical design and quality control processes while eliminating manual calculation errors.
