Behr Labor Technik InKjel 625P Infrared Rapid Wet Digestion Unit

The InKjel 625P is a programmable infrared rapid wet digestion unit developed by Behr Labor Technik for nitrogen/protein determination according to the Kjeldahl method. The system processes 6 samples simultaneously and is designed for routine protein analysis in food, feed, agriculture, and environmental laboratories.

The unit provides faster and more homogeneous heating compared to traditional aluminum heating block systems. The quality and positioning of the infrared heater ensures uniform temperature profile across all sample positions on the rack. Since glass digestion vessels are suspended from the rack, no sediment accumulates at the bottom, making the unit more resistant to breakage compared to aluminum block-based systems.

Standard digestion at 380°C or 450°C is completed in approximately 55 minutes. Power is adjustable from 0–100%; digestion time can be set from 0–199 minutes in 1-minute increments. Ten program memory slots enable rapid setup for repetitive analyses. The 250 ml tube capacity is suitable for low to medium-volume samples; for higher volumes or sample numbers, alternative InKjel series models (450P, 475P, 1210P, 1225P) are recommended.
