Atago PAL-HIKARi 43 Portable IR Brix Meter for Grapefruit

PAL-HIKARi 43 is an infrared (IR) refractometer from Atago's HIKARi series, specifically calibrated for grapefruit analysis. It performs Brix measurement by contact with the fruit surface without cutting or juicing, thereby eliminating sample loss and reducing measurement time.

The instrument operates in the range of 5.0–15.0% Brix with ±2.0% accuracy and is suitable for use in grapefruit cultivation, harvest timing monitoring, and pre-export quality control. Its IP65 protection rating makes it durable for orchard and storage environments. Powered by 2 AAA alkaline batteries and featuring a compact, pocket-sized design, it is easily portable for field use.

Note: The device lacks automatic temperature compensation; environmental temperature variations should be considered when taking measurements in different conditions.
