ClearBand TRUEzol LS Reagent is a ready-to-use extraction reagent composed of a phenol-based mixture formulated for high-quality total RNA isolation from various liquid biological materials including human, animal, plant, yeast, bacterial, and viral sources. The reagent is not suitable for use with whole blood. Biological materials are homogenized or disrupted within the ClearBand TRUEzol LS solution, followed by phase separation into three distinct phases: a clear aqueous upper phase containing RNA, a pink organic lower phase, and an interphase layer containing DNA and proteins. RNA is subsequently purified through isopropanol precipitation and washing to remove contaminants. The purified RNA extract is suitable for routine downstream applications.
