BioSystems BA400 Automated Clinical Chemistry Analyzer

The BA400 is a fully automated clinical chemistry and turbidimetry analyzer developed for laboratories with mid-to-high sample volumes. Its LED-based optical system delivers more stable and higher resolution measurements compared to conventional halogen lamp-based instruments. With a throughput capacity of up to 400 tests per hour (excluding ISE), it efficiently handles demanding testing requirements.

The instrument performs precise sample pipetting in the 2-40 µL range with 0.1 µL resolution; with 120 reaction wells, it can run an extensive test menu in parallel mode. An optional ISE module enables measurement of Na+, K+, Cl- and Li+ electrolytes. Safety features including heated probe tip, level detection, collision sensing, and clot detection minimize sample and reagent loss.

With a low reaction volume range of 180-600 µL, reagent consumption is optimized, reducing operational costs. The LED optical system with eight distinct wavelengths delivers consistent results across a broad photometric range (-0.2 – 3.5 A).
