Atago PAL-HIKARi 2 Pocket-Sized IR Brix Meter (Grape)

The PAL-HIKARi 2 is a compact infrared (IR) spectroscopy-based handheld device manufactured by ATAGO that measures Brix directly by placing grapes into the sample compartment. Unlike conventional refractometers, it requires no fruit crushing or juice extraction, thereby preventing sample loss—particularly valuable for premium grape varieties.

The device performs measurements within the 10.0-25.0% Brix range with ±1.5% accuracy and 0.1% resolution, and is optimized for grapes measuring 15 mm diameter and larger. It offers vineyard operators, winemakers, and quality assurance teams a rapid, non-destructive alternative for harvest timing decisions and batch-based sugar monitoring.
