BioTek 800TS Absorbance Reader – ELISA Microplate Reader

The BioTek 800TS is a compact microplate reader designed for ELISA and other endpoint absorbance assays. It delivers a practical solution for clinical and research laboratories performing protein quantification, cytotoxicity, and kinetic assay workflows.

The instrument utilizes a tungsten halogen light source and photodiode detector to measure across the 400-750 nm wavelength range (340-750 nm in UV configuration). The filter wheel accommodates up to 5 filters and provides standard 405, 450, 490, and 630 nm filters. The 4.3-inch color LCD touchscreen allows programming of up to 40 user-defined protocols; the reader operates independently without requiring external computer connection.

Beyond endpoint readings, the Gen5 Software enables computer-controlled kinetic measurements and well scanning capabilities. The 800TSI and 800TSUVI models feature temperature control up to 50°C. Results can be exported via USB flash drive, and optional external printer output is available.

With its economical cost and compact footprint, the 800TS is a reliable choice for high-volume ELISA workflows and can be paired with the 50TS Washer to automate assay procedures.
