The Analysette 18 is a heavy-duty analytical sieve shaker designed for particle size analysis and sample portioning of large-volume, coarse-grained materials. With its wide measurement range from 20 µm to 125 mm and sample capacity up to 15 kg, it is ideally suited for laboratories requiring pilot-scale production or high-throughput serial analysis.

The instrument's distinctive feature is its three-dimensional sieving motion, generated by two unbalanced motors operating in phase opposition. By moving material both vertically and horizontally, the system minimizes sieve clogging, reduces sieving time, and significantly improves result repeatability. Automatic amplitude control continuously monitors sieve stack acceleration throughout the sieving process, ensuring constant and consistent operating conditions.

Wet sieving is also possible with the conversion kit; in this mode, analysis can be performed on 100–1000 g samples within the 20 µm – 10 mm range. The TwinNut fastening system maintains continuous tension for sieves and compression lid, while AUTOSIEVE software automatically evaluates and documents results. With its separate operating unit enabling remote control capability, the Analysette 18 provides a reliable solution for laboratories working with coarse-grained materials in mining, construction aggregates, ceramics, and food applications.
