The Behr Labor Technik InKjel 1210M is an infrared rapid wet digestion unit designed for laboratories performing nitrogen/protein determination by the Kjeldahl method. The unit can process 12 glass digestion vessels of 100 ml capacity simultaneously and completes the digestion process in significantly shorter times compared to conventional aluminum heating block systems.

The instrument provides uniform heating across all sample positions thanks to its high-performance infrared heating element, ensuring consistent digestion results throughout the rack. With glass vessels suspended in the rack, no material accumulation occurs at the base of the heating unit, making the system more resistant to breakage compared to aluminum block units. Power can be manually adjusted between 0–100%; digestion is completed in approximately 55 minutes at standard temperatures (380 °C or 450 °C).
