Behr Labor Technik InKjel 1210P – Infrared Rapid Wet Ashing Unit

The InKjel 1210P is a programmable infrared wet ashing unit designed by Behr Labor Technik for laboratories performing nitrogen and protein determination using the Kjeldahl method. The unit processes 12 samples simultaneously. Thanks to the infrared heating system that heats faster than conventional heating blocks, the ashing process at standard 380°C or 450°C is completed in approximately 55 minutes with minimal energy consumption.

Glass ashing crucibles are suspended on the rack and are not blocked at the bottom; this reduces breakage risk compared to aluminum block systems. The positioning and quality of the infrared heater ensures uniform heating profile across all sample positions, guaranteeing consistent results in serial analyses.

The instrument features adjustable power from 0–100%, programmable timing from 0–199 minutes in 1-minute increments, and up to 10 stored programs, allowing users to customize ashing protocols for different sample types. It is a practical solution for users in food, feed, agricultural, and environmental laboratories performing protein/nitrogen determination.
