Behr Labor Technik InKjel 1225P Infrared Rapid Wet Digestion Unit

The InKjel 1225P is a programmable infrared wet digestion unit developed by Behr Labor Technik for nitrogen/protein determination following the Kjeldahl method. It processes 12 glass vessels of 250 ml capacity simultaneously and completes the digestion cycle in significantly shorter time compared to conventional block heaters thanks to infrared heating technology.

The unit's infrared heater provides uniform heat distribution across all sample positions on the suspended vessel rack. Since the vessels do not contact the heating block base, breakage risk is minimized. Temperature is adjustable via power setting (0–100%), and digestion time is programmable in 1-minute increments from 0–199 minutes; up to 10 different programs can be saved. Under standard conditions, digestion at 380°C or 450°C is completed in approximately 55 minutes.

With its low power consumption and programmable features, the InKjel 1225P is a practical and reproducible solution for routine protein/nitrogen determination in food, feed, agriculture, and environmental laboratories.
