Neogen® MDS Molecular Detection System – Pathogen Screening Instrument

The Neogen® MDS is a compact molecular detection instrument that employs LAMP (Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification) DNA amplification technology for the detection of foodborne pathogens. It is used in food safety laboratories for routine pathogen screening where rapid and reliable results are essential.

The system comes with color-coded, ready-to-use reagent tubes and lysis solution, providing a simplified workflow requiring only two pipetting steps. The instrument has a capacity of up to 96 tests per run, and up to four instruments can be connected to a single computer for increased throughput. Results are available within the same day or next day for most food matrices; in some assays, initial positive samples can be identified within 15 minutes.

The system is validated by NF VALIDATION by AFNOR Certification and features AOAC®-approved methodology. The user-friendly software supports LIMS integration and customizable reporting, simplifying laboratory workflow and enabling operation without extensive training.
