3M™ Molecular Detection System (MDS) – Molecular Pathogen Detection System

3M™ Molecular Detection System (MDS) is a molecular detection platform designed to accelerate pathogen screening in food safety laboratories. Based on LAMP (Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification) DNA amplification technology, it delivers results with high sensitivity and specificity.

The system features ready-to-use reagents and a simplified workflow requiring only two pipetting steps: one for sample lysis of enriched samples, and one for preparing the DNA amplification reaction. This reduces analysis time and minimizes operator error risk. Amplification results can be obtained in as little as 15 minutes depending on the assay, while final results for most food matrices are typically available the next day.

The system holds AFNOR Certification with NF Validation and approvals from internationally recognized organizations including AOAC® Official Methods of Analysis. It is compatible with 3M™ Molecular Detection Assay 2 kits for various pathogens such as Salmonella, Listeria, and Listeria monocytogenes, enabling simultaneous screening of multiple pathogens and reducing labor and time costs.
