XcytoMatic® 40 is an automated system developed by ChemoMetec for cell density and viability analysis via contact-free optical measurement. With carousel capacity for up to 24 samples and processing speed reaching 100 samples per hour, it is engineered for laboratories requiring rapid analysis of numerous samples without manual intervention.

The instrument performs cell counting and viability determination in mammalian cell types (CHO, HEK293, etc.) and primary cell samples such as PBMC/Leukopak using acridine orange (AO) and DAPI fluorescent dyes. With an analysis volume of 4.5 µl and sample volume of 50 µl, it operates efficiently with minimal sample consumption. Results are presented via XM-View™ software as images, graphs, and data tables; exportable in .csv, .pdf, and .xls formats.

The 21 CFR Part 11 compliant GMP mode ensures traceability and data integrity in regulated environments (bioprocess, quality control). Its compact footprint (430×440×524 mm, 50 kg) and API support enable seamless integration into laboratory automation systems.
