Petrifilm® Aerobic Count Plates are ready-to-use culture plates that enable aerobic bacterial enumeration without the need for traditional agar pour techniques. This practical solution is ideal for food safety laboratories, drinking water testing facilities, and personnel conducting environmental hygiene monitoring programs.

While conventional methods require time-consuming besiyeri preparation, pouring, and incubation steps, Petrifilm plates allow direct sample application. Following incubation at 35°C ± 1°C, quantitative results in CFU/ml or CFU/g are obtained within 48-72 hours through the grid-patterned surface design that facilitates colony enumeration.

Manufactured by 3M, these plates are compatible with AOAC-approved methods and are applicable to milk, dairy products, and food matrices. Packaging options in units of 100 and 1000 tests allow procurement scaled to laboratory usage volume.
