3M Petrifilm® Bacillus cereus Count Plates

Petrifilm® Bacillus cereus Count Plates are ready-to-use test plates that enable rapid and reliable enumeration of Bacillus cereus sensu lato group bacteria in food and beverage samples. Unlike traditional culture methods, results are obtained within 20 hours without requiring culture transfer or enrichment steps, providing significant time and labor savings for food safety laboratories.

The plates utilize a selective-differential medium containing chromogenic indicators, lecithinase substrates, and specialized nutrients. Colony enumeration is performed easily through characteristic color changes visible on the plate surface. MicroVal certification (No: 2023LR132) confirms that the method has undergone official validation.

The product is supplied in 50 or 500 plate packages and must be stored at ≤8°C. It provides a practical solution for food production facilities, quality control laboratories, and food safety regulatory agencies.
