Petrifilm® Staph Express Disks – Staphylococcus aureus Verification Test

Petrifilm® Staph Express Disks are a complementary test kit designed to verify whether suspicious colonies formed on Petrifilm® Staph Express Count Plates are Staphylococcus aureus. Traditional verification methods can require hours to days and may yield false positive/negative results due to background microflora interference. These disks, when applied directly to the plate, deliver clear results within 1-3 hours and provide reliable differentiation even in the presence of background flora.

Validation through AOAC® and AFNOR-approved methods enables use in regulatory food microbiology testing. When combined with Petrifilm® Plate Reader Advanced, reading and data recording can be fully automated, accelerating analysis workflow and reducing manual handling errors.
