Atago PAL-47S Ferric Chloride (FeCl₃) Refractometer

The PAL-47S is a digital handheld refractometer specifically designed to measure the concentration of ferric chloride (FeCl₃) aqueous solutions. It provides a practical solution for operators performing coagulant control in water treatment plants and monitoring etching baths in PCB manufacturing.

The instrument measures FeCl₃ concentration in the range of 0.0–15.0% with an accuracy of ±0.2% using only 2–3 sample drops; simultaneously, it displays temperature within the range of 10.0–40.0°C with 0.1°C resolution. Thanks to its metal housing and IP65 protection rating, it delivers rugged performance in field and plant environments. It provides results significantly faster than classical titration analysis methods and requires no complex chemical procedures.

Important note: This instrument does not feature automatic temperature compensation; therefore, measurement results must be evaluated taking the sample temperature into account.
