The LabSen®881 pH electrode utilizes a specialized low-impedance glass membrane optimized for low-temperature sample testing. The conical sensor tip provides exceptional impact resistance (distinctly different from traditional fragile glass bulb sensors) while delivering faster response rates and superior reproducibility. Compatible with any pH meter featuring BNC connectors, including Apera Instruments MP511, PH8500, PH850, PH700, PH800, PC800, PH820, and PC820. Note: This electrode does not have a built-in temperature sensor; users must employ ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) or manually input temperature values using a separate temperature probe (such as MP500) to achieve accurate temperature compensation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a temperature sensor integrated into the LabSen®881 electrode?
No, the LabSen®881 does not have a built-in temperature sensor. For accurate pH readings with automatic temperature compensation (ATC), users must employ a separate temperature probe such as the MP500 or manually input temperature values into the pH meter.
Which pH meters are compatible with the LabSen®881?
The electrode is compatible with any Apera Instruments pH meter equipped with a BNC connector, including MP511, PH8500, PH850, PH700, PH800, PC800, PH820, and PC820 models.
What makes the conical membrane design advantageous?
The conical sensor tip is significantly more impact-resistant than traditional glass bulb designs, offers faster response times, and provides superior measurement reproducibility—particularly important when working with delicate low-temperature samples.
Can the LabSen®881 be used for ambient or room-temperature measurements?
Yes, while optimized for low-temperature applications, this electrode functions across the full -30 to 80 °C operating range and is suitable for standard pH measurements as well.
What is the significance of the three ceramic junctions?
The triple ceramic junction design (3×) enhances durability and provides more stable liquid junction potential, improving long-term measurement reliability and consistency.
