LabSen® 823 glass combination pH/Temperature electrode/probe, backed by proprietary Swiss sensor technologies and materials, is engineered for pH testing of milk, cream, yogurt, mayonnaise, jam, barbecue sauce, syrup and other liquid food products. Features a unique blue hemispherical glass membrane for faster response time, enhanced repeatability, and exceptional mechanical durability (unlike traditional fragile glass bulb membranes). Silver Ion Trap reference system combined with Protelyte reference electrolyte ensures long-life performance while preventing junction contamination from proteins. The patented pH/Temperature structure places the temperature element in an independent chamber below the pH glass membrane with internal heat-conducting medium, increasing temperature sensing speed by 40% and significantly improving electrode response time and stability. Suitable for high-temperature sample testing up to 225°F (107°C). Compatible with Apera Instruments meters including PH700, SX823-B, MP511, PH800 and PC800.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the LabSen®823 compatible with other meter brands?
No, the LabSen®823 is specifically designed for Apera Instruments meters (PH700, SX823-B, MP511, PH800, PC800). Compatibility with other brands cannot be guaranteed due to temperature unit incompatibility.
What makes the blue hemispherical membrane different from traditional electrodes?
The unique blue hemispherical glass membrane offers faster response time, improved repeatability, and exceptional mechanical durability compared to traditional fragile glass bulb membranes. It can withstand mechanical stress and high-temperature samples up to 225°F.
How does the Silver Ion Trap protect the reference system?
The Silver Ion Trap reference system prevents the junction from being blocked or contaminated by proteins commonly found in dairy products. This ensures long-term reliability and consistent measurement performance.
Why is temperature sensing speed important for pH measurement?
The patented pH/Temperature structure increases temperature sensing speed by 40%, which significantly improves the electrode's response time and measurement stability, providing faster and more reliable results.
What is the maximum temperature for sample testing?
The LabSen®823 is tested and rated for high-temperature sample testing up to 225°F (approximately 107°C).
