Chemometec NucleoCounter YC-100™ Yeast Cell Counter

The NucleoCounter® YC-100™ is an automated cell counter that measures both total cell count and viability of yeast cells using propidium iodide (PI) staining combined with fluorescence microscopy and CCD camera technology. Designed for fermentation and bioprocess laboratories seeking rapid, reproducible results instead of manual counting.

The instrument requires no cleaning or calibration thanks to single-use NucleoCassette™ sampling cartridges, which reduces cross-contamination risk between samples and shortens analysis time. The DNA-based volumetric counting method delivers accurate results unaffected by medium debris or substrate aggregates—a critical advantage in complex fermentation environments.
