The BINDER VDL 53 is a 53-liter vacuum oven/drying cabinet engineered for safe vacuum drying of flammable organic solvents. Its ATEX-compliant chamber design (Ex II -/3G c IIB T3-T1 Gc X) and flame protection gasket provide additional safety for laboratories working with solvent-vapor-containing samples.

Operating from ambient temperature to +200°C, the unit features 0.01 mbar final vacuum and 0.01 bar/hour low leak rate, designed for precision vacuum drying processes. The independent temperature safety device per DIN 12880 Class 2, pressure control during heating (<125 mbar), and inert gas connection provide extra safety layers, particularly for critical processes such as solvent drying.

With 53-liter internal volume, single door, and standard 2 shelves (maximum 5), it is suitable for medium-scale sample series. Data logging and time-interval-based programming are available via RS 422 computer interface.
