Atago AP-300 is a fully automatic polarimeter that operates simply by inserting a sample tube and pressing the START button. It eliminates manual visual reading and hand calculations required with conventional polarimeters, reducing operator-induced error and shortening measurement time.

The instrument measures optical rotation at ±0.001° resolution over the range of ±89.999°, and International Sugar Scale (ISS) values at ±0.001°Z resolution over -130.000°Z to +130.000°Z. It provides ±0.01° accuracy between -35° and +35° for optical rotation; for ISS measurements, accuracy is ±0.03°Z between -101°Z and +101°Z. Results are displayed on a large digital screen and can be transferred via RS-232C interface or printer output.

AP-300 is designed for pharmaceutical active ingredient purity control, sugar factory sucrose purity analysis, optical active compound determination in perfume and cosmetic manufacturing, and chemical industry applications. The product is available in temperature-controlled variants (5293, 5294, 5296) and non-temperature-controlled versions (5295, 5297), with specialized packages for pharmaceutical or sugar industry requirements.
