What is the proper measurement procedure?
Hold the refractometer from the body toward light with the prism facing forward. Position the diopter adjustment ring to your eye and rotate left/right until the measurement scale appears sharp. Open the cover, apply 1–2 drops of sample liquid to the prism, close the cover, and read the measurement value.
How should I maintain the refractometer?
Never rinse the device with water after use. Optical components must not be wiped with hard objects. Protect from corrosive environments and impact. Clean the prism and cover surfaces after each measurement using soft cotton cloth. Non-compliance with these guidelines voids the warranty.
Why is reference temperature important?
The reference temperature is 20°C. For measurements at different temperatures, correction tables must be applied to ensure accuracy. Since this model has no automatic temperature compensation, manual correction is required.
