Atago NAR-2T HI Abbe Refractometer (High Temperature & High Refractive Index)

The Atago NAR-2T HI is a specialized Abbe refractometer designed to measure high refractive index materials (1.4700-1.8700 nD) at elevated temperatures, which standard Abbe refractometers cannot accommodate. Ideal for laboratories working with optical glass, polymers, optical materials, and high-index liquids. The instrument performs measurements across a circulating water temperature range of 5-120°C, enabling observation of temperature-dependent refractive index variations and accurate measurement of thermally stable samples at elevated temperatures. It delivers precise results with ±0.0002 accuracy and 0.001 minimum scale division. The LED light source approximates D-line wavelength for consistent measurement conditions. The instrument lacks automatic temperature compensation and IP65 protection, requiring external temperature control and careful handling during operation. The refractometer measures 12×20×25 cm with a mass of 2.8 kg; the accompanying thermometer is 10×11×7 cm and weighs 0.5 kg.
