The Phytotron system is an optional illumination module that can be added to the Smart PRO version of Poleko ILW and KK series refrigerated incubators/climatic chambers. With daylight-type (840) lighting elements installed on the chamber ceiling, door, or side walls, authentic day-night cycles can be simulated in plant, seed, and microorganism research applications.

The system is offered with different installation options depending on the device model (ILW/KK 115, 240, 350); certain models allow mounting of an additional shelf-top lighting panel. When illumination is active, the operating temperature range is +10°C to +50°C. The system may also be provided with an optional automatic defrost (PLUS) function. The Phytotron system is not available in KKS series chambers; it is compatible only with KK and ILW series.

This system enables controlled investigation of light-dependent biological processes such as plant physiology, seed germination, and photosynthesis research. Standard humidity control is not included; this limitation should be considered for applications requiring precise humidity management.
