Behr Labor Technik InKjel 625M Infrared Rapid Wet Digestion Unit

The InKjel 625M is an infrared rapid wet digestion unit designed for laboratories performing nitrogen/protein determination via the Kjeldahl method. It offers faster heat-up and lower energy consumption compared to conventional aluminum heating blocks.

The unit operates simultaneously with 6 glass digestion vessels of 250 ml capacity. The infrared heater provides direct sample heating with uniform temperature distribution across all positions; since vessels are suspended on the rack, there is lower risk of accumulation or breakage at the bottom compared to traditional block systems.

Power is adjustable manually in the 0–100% range; under standard operation, digestion at 380°C or 450°C is completed in approximately 55 minutes. The unit is suitable for the sample digestion step prior to protein/nitrogen analysis in food, feed, agricultural, and environmental laboratories.
