Behr Labor Technik InKjel 450P Infrared Rapid Digestion Unit

The InKjel 450P is a programmable infrared digestion unit designed to accelerate the sample digestion stage in nitrogen determination by the Kjeldahl method. Developed for users performing protein determination in food, feed, agricultural, and environmental laboratories.

The unit employs direct infrared heating of samples compared to conventional heating blocks; this reduces digestion time and lowers energy consumption. The 500 ml glass vessels are suspended on a rack without contact to the heating block, reducing breakage risk and ensuring uniform heating across all sample positions. Standard digestion at 380°C or 450°C is completed in approximately 55 minutes.

Users can adjust power output in 0–100% range and set digestion time in 1-minute increments from 0–199 minutes; up to 10 programs can be stored. The ability to process 4 samples simultaneously provides a practical solution for high-throughput routine analysis laboratories.
