Atago PAL-50S Potassium Bromide (KBr) Digital Handheld Refractometer

The PAL-50S is a digital handheld refractometer specifically calibrated to measure potassium bromide (KBr) aqueous solution concentration and temperature. It is used for rapid quality control in applications such as photography emulsion bath preparation, infrared spectroscopy sample preparation, and chemical manufacturing.

The instrument delivers results in approximately 3 seconds using only 2–3 sample droplets, measuring across the 0.0–35.0% KBr range with ±0.2% accuracy. IP65 protection rating provides resistance to water splash, and dual AAA batteries enable independent field or lab operation. At 100 grams and 5.5×3.1×10.9 cm, it is easily portable between field and laboratory settings.

It provides a significantly faster and more practical solution than conventional gravimetric or chromatographic methods, particularly saving time during routine concentration monitoring in production lines.
