The Atago CM-ISα is an intrinsically safe in-line refractometer developed for secure Brix monitoring on production lines with explosive gas or vapor risk. Its design conforms to ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 classification, enabling continuous concentration tracking in hazardous Ex-Zone areas where standard instruments cannot operate.

The instrument performs measurements across a 0.0–80.0% Brix range with ±0.1% accuracy; refractive index accuracy is ±0.0002. The wide operating temperature tolerance of -15°C to 160°C accommodates demanding process conditions. Resolution is switchable, adjustable to meet varying precision requirements.

Note: IP65 protection rating and automatic temperature compensation are not featured on this model; therefore, installation environment and process temperature stability must be evaluated before deployment. It is preferred for safe monitoring in sugar, chemical, and petrochemical processing lines where Ex-Zone compliance is mandatory.
