The NAR-1T・LO is a laboratory-grade refractometer manufactured by Atago, purpose-built for measuring low refractive index samples (1.1500-1.4800 nD) beyond the scope of standard Abbe refractometers. Ideal for laboratories working with alcohols, solvents, and dilute solutions.

The instrument features an LED light source near the D-Line wavelength, providing clear refractive boundary visualization and measurements at ±0.0002 nD accuracy with 0.001 minimum scale resolution. Temperature control is maintained via a circulating water bath monitored by a separate thermometer unit, operating within the 5-50°C range. The device lacks automatic temperature compensation and IP65 protection; therefore, manual sample temperature monitoring is required.

A practical solution for laboratories requiring measurements below the standard refractive index range (typically 1.3000-1.7000 nD) and working with specialized low-index specimens.
