The NucleoCounter NC-3000 is an advanced image cytometer based on fluorescence imaging principles. In addition to rapid cell counting and viability analysis, it supports pre-defined analytical assays including cell cycle analysis and apoptosis detection. The system is designed for laboratories working with mammalian, yeast, insect, and avian cells.

The instrument operates with low sample volumes (60 µl for cassettes) using disposable cassettes or chamber slides, delivering results comparable to flow cytometry with excellent reproducibility. The maintenance-free design eliminates the need for rinsing, unclogging, or daily calibration, simplifying laboratory workflows. With the FlexiCyte license, users can create custom assays by selecting light source and emission filter combinations; unlimited software licensing supports this flexibility.

The system is available in three configurations: cell counting only (upgradable), fixed analytical assay-licensed model, and fully flexible model with FlexiCyte included. Results are generated as automated PDF reports and output data is compatible with software platforms such as FCS Express and FlowJo.
