Apera EC60 Handheld Conductivity Meter (EC/TDS/Salinity)

Apera Instruments EC60 is a compact pen-type test instrument that measures conductivity (EC), TDS, and salinity in a single device. Designed for hydroponic systems, drinking/tap water quality control, pool and spa maintenance, and environmental water testing.

The instrument utilizes BPB (Brush-resistant Platinum Black) sensor technology to minimize electrode polarization, delivering consistent results across a wide measurement range and offering easier cleaning compared to conventional stainless steel electrodes. With a replaceable probe cartridge, users need only replace the probe at end-of-life rather than the entire instrument.

Automatic buffer recognition enables automatic 1–3 point calibration; automatic temperature compensation (ATC) operates within 0–50°C range. The 2-color backlit LCD display (blue in measurement mode, green during calibration) provides a 180° viewing angle; stable readings are indicated by a smiley-face icon. Self-diagnostic function alerts users to out-of-range measurements and calibration errors.

The waterproof and floating housing makes it suitable for field deployment. Powered by 4 AAA batteries, it provides approximately 1000 hours of continuous operation and auto-shutoff after 8 minutes of inactivity.
