Frequently Asked Questions

Can the pH60F measure liquid samples?
Yes. The standard PH60F-E flat electrode measures both small-volume liquids and surface pH. For soft solids (cheese, soil, sushi rice), the optional PH60S-E probe is recommended.
How often does the pH meter need calibration?
We recommend calibration before each measurement session for highest accuracy. The automatic buffer recognition system makes 1-3 point calibration quick and simple.
What is the HEADS-UP function?
The HEADS-UP function alerts you to high or low pH values outside your specified range by triggering a red backlit display with audible feedback, ensuring critical results are never missed.
Is the pH60F waterproof?
Yes. The IP67 rating provides complete dust protection and temporary water immersion. The device also floats on water for safety in field conditions.
How long does a battery last?
The four AAA batteries provide up to 2000 hours of continuous operation. The automatic shutoff after 8 minutes of inactivity extends battery life in regular use.
What calibration buffers are recognized?
The pH60F automatically recognizes five buffer solutions: pH 7.00, 4.00, 10.01, 1.68, and 12.46. Automatic 1-3 point calibration ensures optimal accuracy.
Can I upgrade to an ORP (Redox) probe?
Yes. An optional ORP probe is available for redox potential (mV) measurements, expanding the meter's analytical capabilities for water quality and other applications.
What is included in the standard kit?
The complete kit includes the pH meter, calibration buffers, storage solution, AAA batteries, replacement cord, and protective carrying case.
